Since funding for the Seti at Home 2 project has not been finalized yet,  the Berkeley team has come up with an ingenious, and cost effective solution for gathering data outside the limits of the Arecibo telescope.  Using the  Seti at Home roving signal detector, they will be able to start collecting data from anywhere in the country.  This portion of the project would have started sooner but, due to safety concerns,  they needed some time to let the bus air out before it was occupied.
