Most people who are running the Seti at Home program have come across this diagram of the famous Seti message, our first attempt at communication with intelligent life outside our solar system.

After seeing this diagram, many visitors arrive at the Clinic confused and disoriented from spending hundreds of hours trying to figure out what the Seti message was really saying.  For those with no formal scientific training, these strange hieroglyphics can be as hard to decipher as the instructions for setting the clock on your VCR.  That is why the Clinic has taken the time to provide a detailed analysis of this picture and the messages it conveys  to our potential neighbors in outer space.
